More Engagement Shots

This one is one of those totally caught in the moment photos which is my favorite kind!

Engagement Shoot

My sister in law Amanda and Kyle got engaged and she allowed me to do their engagement pictures for my portfolio. It was a blast, although I'm pretty sure Kyle was super glad when it was over! I love these pictures and I think they really show what a great relationship they have! I can't wait to shoot their wedding next summer!

Chico shoot

I'm shooting a wedding next July at Chico Hot Springs. The wedding is the best friend of a dear friend of mine, Tigerlily. Tigerlily and I went up to Chico last week on the date of the wedding for next year to see what it was like. I did a little pre-shoot and Tigerlily was graciously a model for me. We had a blast, here are a few shots!

Hollow Top

Pick up a copy of the Belgrade News today and you'll see this picture in it! Crystal sent it in and they published it! The mountain is Hollowtop in the Tobacco Root Mtns. I actually climed that mountain 2 years ago and it's probably my favorite so I like to take pictures of it. I have tons of new shots from my trip to Teton last week. I'll get those updated soon!

Flowers

I am in Salt Lake City for work. I took a walk yesterday morning up to the temple area and there are the most beautiful gardens there. I took a lot of pictures of flowers. Here are some of my favorites. I'm having trouble getting more to upload to the blog, so I'm going to post this one and see if it works on a new post. So more to come! Enjoy!

Horses

Been a couple weeks since I posted anything, sorry. It's been raining here for what seems like forever and I'm tired of it and it had me in a bit of a funk. I needed to get my first assignment done for school so I did a photo shoot with the sister in law, Amanda and her boyfriend Kyle. With all the rain everything is so green and the sky was pretty interesting as well so it made for a good session. Enjoy!

Getting the horses ready - Friday and Tanner - this was taken with my sephia effect on my camera

One of the photo assignments is panning. Not the perfect framing for the shot, but I still kind of liked it.

Panning attempt again.

My Girls

I'm traveling this week for work and I miss my girls. I really need to take some new pictures of them so I was thinking about doing some this weekend. If it's not snowing or the wind isn't blowing 50 mph. Just looked at the forecast, today 40 and snow, by Saturday 60 and thunderstorms! Gotta love Montana weather.
Anyway, my whole point is, here are a few pictures I took of the girls 2 years ago (yikes!).

A few more

I love ghost towns and Montana is filled with them. This is an old car at Comet which is west of Boulder.

Grand Tetons...love this place. I get to go back in June and cannot wait to get some more shots and hopefully see some more wildlife this time!

Mormon Road between Jackson Hole and Grand Teton Park

It was the perfect morning...I could have stayed at this exact place for the entire day.

This was at the Belleview Biltmore Hotel in Clearwater Florida.

My Arrival

I have been interested in photography since I can remember. Over the last ten years it has developed from a mere interest into a full blown passion. I have dreamed over the last several years of making photography a bigger part of my life and ultimately my career. I guess this is one of the first steps I am making to make that dream a reality. Get myself out there, show my work. I am mostly self taught and have always wanted to further my education and experience therefore, I have just enrolled at the New York Institute of Photography for the Professional Photography course which will take about a year to complete. I am beyond excited about this cannot wait to dive into it!
I have shot several weddings, family portraits, maternity shots, landscape/wildlife and commercial so my experience is broad and I will share all with you! I want to use this blog as a way to share my work and I would love to hear feedback on my photos (both good and bad!). So I'll dive right in and share of few of my shots.

This was taken in Sept '07 in Yellowstone National Park.

This past weekend was the Horse Drive in Three Forks. Instead of trucking their horses from winter to summer pastures, Montana Horses do an old fashioned horse drive which goes right down Main Street. I liked the perspective of this picture, different from most of the shots I've seen from the drive.

My dear friend, Crystal was about 8 months pregnant in this picture! It's one of my favorite shots from her maternity shoot. Baby Samuel has since arrived and I can't wait to do some shots with him as well!

Like I said above, I would love feedback, so please let me know what you think.
